Noah Kahan just announced yet another collab, this time with Kasey Musgraves
Noah Kahan has announced yet another collaboration, this time with beloved country star Kasey Musgraves on a re-release of his song “She calls me back,” via Instagram story.
Since the release of the “Stick Season” deluxe version, “We’ll All Be Here Forever,” which included seven new tracks, Kahan has been re-releasing renditions of his songs with other artists, including “Dial Drunk” with Post Malone, and most recently “Call your Mom” with Lizzy McAlpine.
If Kahan’s collabs haven’t been a lot to take in already, Zach Bryan also dropped a surprise EP that included collaborations with Kahan and Bon Iver.
Let’s all take a deep breath together.
What’s going on with these collabs?
Kahan and Bryan are two artists to watch right now in folk and country, respectfully. In collaborating with other well-known or emerging artists, they’re expanding their audience and keeping fans excited.
Kahan is dominating the folk pop genre right now, and rightfully so. After releasing two incredible albums and a few EPs prior to his hit release Stick Season, Kahan is finally getting his flowers.
Marketing, especially on social media, is clearly a strength for these two. For Kahan, who had two albums and a few EPs prior to the hit release of Stick Season, TikTok seemed to be all the proud New England native needed to take his career to the next level.

What do the Post Malone collab and Spider-Man’s “No Way Home” have in common?
Andrew Garfield and Toby Maguire reprising their roles as Spider-Mans from different dimensions in the Marvel Universe felt straight out of a fan fiction. Well-before Kahan and Austin Post got in the studio together, a fan on the Internet dubbed Kahan’s new nickname, “Folk Malone.”
Not only posting on social media, but paying attention to what fans have to say and actively engaging both on and off-screen have a significant impact on audience loyalty. Fans love to feel like they made something happen.
The timeline is strategic
“Stick Season” the single went viral on TikTok ahead of its release in July 2022.
A fall release was nonetheless a perfect choice given the autumnal tone of the album. Then, almost exactly a year later, Kahan dropped seven more tracks with the Stick Season deluxe version, which he had begun teasing halfway through the year.
With this timeline, Kahan managed to maintain his relevance and grip on folk fans everywhere—and he hasn’t taken a break yet.
